Walthers Mainline 85ft Dome Car – Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México (NdeM) (Decorated by VJ Hobbies for Con-Cor)

This HO scale 85-foot passenger car from the Walthers Mainline series features a custom-applied “Mexico Scheme”, inspired by the iconic styling of mid-century Mexican intercity passenger trains. During the height of Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México (NdeM) operations, passenger cars often displayed hand-painted lettering and bold, regional color schemes, giving the trains a distinctive and vibrant appearance unique to Mexico’s rail system.

To capture this historical look, Con-Cor International partnered with VJ Hobbies, one of Mexico’s most recognized model train brands, to decorate these cars exclusively for Con-Cor. The artwork was printed in Mexico and carefully designed to reflect the handcrafted feel of real Mexican passenger cars.

This special release was developed in response to growing demand from our Hispanic and Latin American customers, many of whom have deep cultural ties to Mexico’s railway heritage. As the model train hobby continues to expand across Latin America, Con-Cor is proud to support that growth with products that reflect regional history and pride.
