Overview of Con-Cor’s New 2025 SKU System for Current and Future Product Lines
Share
Dear Customers and Dealers,
We’re excited to announce a complete overhaul of our product SKU system as part of our ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline our inventory management.
Over the years, many customers and dealers have reached out with questions about when specific models were produced, what series they belonged to, or what type of item they were. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of our legacy inventory system — originally built on a Quantel platform from the 1970s — much of this information was not digitized, and key records were lost over time. With many of the long-time employees who managed that system now retired, identifying older models has become increasingly difficult.
To resolve this and provide a clearer, more accurate product catalog, we are implementing a new, standardized SKU format that will make it easier to identify key product details — including the scale, product type, road name, and year of manufacture — directly from the SKU.
Here’s what’s changing:
• A new SKU system will be used for all new and future Con-Cor products.
• Existing inventory will be re-SKUed with updated photos and detailed descriptions.
• Spreadsheets of both legacy and new products will be made available to help customers and dealers match older items to the updated catalog.
• While current listings on our website still use the old SKUs, these will be updated as web photograph and revise each product.
• Labelle Lubricants will continue to use a separate SKU system, but all Labelle layout
accessories and parts will be transitioned under the Con-Cor brand and included in the
new SKU format.
Our goal is to create a system that’s easy to understand, helps avoid confusion, and offers full transparency for both hobbyists and dealers alike.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we make these important updates.
Sincerely,
The Con-Cor Trains Team
